LR MEP Nadine Morano will vote left in the second round

The choice may seem surprising. LR MEP Nadine Morano will vote for the miscellaneous left Dominique Potier in the 5th constituency of Meurthe-et-Moselle on Sunday. She refuses to give her vote to Louis-Joseph Pecher, accused of anti-Semitism, she explained to AFP on Thursday, July 4.

“I think an anti-Semitic candidate should not receive my support”declared the former minister of Nicolas Sarkozy, marked on the right, confirming information from the Republican Lorraine. She explained “vote against” Louis-Joseph Pecher and consequently for the outgoing miscellaneous left MP Dominique Potier.

Socialist, Dominique Potier “is a political opponent but he is not anti-Semitic, is not a candidate of the Popular Front, does not sit on the Nupes and he has recognized that Hamas is a terrorist organization”detailed Nadine Morano. Although she indicated that she would vote for him, she nevertheless specified that she was not giving any voting instructions. “I am not calling for a vote for a candidate”she stressed, in accordance with the position of LR, which does not give voting instructions.
