LR MEP Nadine Morano “doesn’t believe it”

The European elections will take place on June 9. The question of the enlargement of the majority camp the day after the election, with a potential Prime Minister from the ranks of the Republicans (LR), is increasingly being raised. Is a coalition between Renaissance and LR possible? “I don’t believe it, quite simply because the President of the Republic has never had this perspective”replies Nadine Morano, MEP and LR candidate for the European elections, Thursday May 30 in the “4 Truths”.

Nadine Morano indicates that she had spoken of a possible rapprochement between LR and Renaissance with Emmanuel Macron in July 2017. “I told him that, with the result of this election in 2017 against Marine Le Pen, we had to repair, rebuild France, which [était] extremely fractured after a catastrophic mandate of François Hollande. He did not make this choice. He chose individual poaching”, she laments. Criticizing Emmanuel Macron’s record, particularly in terms of insecurity, MEP LR adds: “A coalition means a contract. It takes two. I don’t understand how we can join a government without defending convictions and ideas.”
