For the fourth time this season, Montreal had to lower its flag against Toronto in the Professional Women’s Hockey League (LPHF).
On Sunday, Kori Cheverie’s players lost 2 to 1 at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. This therefore means that Toronto remains the only team that Montrealers have not defeated since the launch of the campaign.

Montreal’s only goal was scored by Kristin O’Neill, her first of the season, in the first period. The 25-year-old skater fired a precise shot to beat Kristen Campbell in the upper left.
Toronto opened the scoring after a little over seven minutes in the first period when Hannah Miller beat Ann-Renée Desbiens. Kali Flanagan scored the winning goal early in the second period.
Desbiens, meanwhile, made 24 saves in the defeat.
This victory is a tenth in a row for Toronto, which sits at the top of the LPHF general ranking thanks to 33 points. The Montrealers are in third position, with a performance of 7-3-3-4.
Montreal will be back in action against Minnesota next Sunday.
