A week after leading her team to the Professional Women’s Hockey League championship, Natalie Darwitz is no longer the general manager of the Minnesota team.
In a press release issued Saturday, league officials announced that the team has parted ways with Darwitz.
A three-time Olympic medalist with the United States national team and member of the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame, Darwitz was hired in September 2023.
She formed the Minnesota team that won the inaugural Walter Cup in a five-game series against Boston.
The LPHF, which owns the league’s six teams, said in a statement that there was no immediate timetable for Darwitz’s replacement
League officials said Minnesota head coach Ken Klee and his staff will select the team’s players during the LPHF draft taking place Monday in Minnesota.
