Lower North Shore | A man possibly on a snowmobile missing since Friday

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) launched a request for help from the population on Sunday in the hope of finding Guildo Maurice, a 54-year-old man, who is missing on the Lower North Shore.

The SQ specifies that the fifty-year-old was last seen last Friday, around 6 p.m., in the village of Saint-Augustin. He would be traveling by snowmobile and could be between Saint-Augustin and the village of Rivière-Saint-Paul, located approximately 70 kilometers to the northeast.

The region separating the two localities is very sparsely inhabited.

Mr. Maurice’s relatives reported to the police that they had reason to fear for his health and safety.

Guildo Maurice is 1.68 meters tall and weighs around 63 kilograms. His hair is red and gray and he has dark eyes.

When he was last seen, he was wearing a light blue snowmobile coat, black snowmobile pants with gray writing on the sides, and a black balaclava and neck gaiter.

Anyone who sees Guildo Maurice is asked to contact the 911 emergency telephone exchange.
