In a few months, with the Covid-19, Martin Blachier has become a well-known television personality. The young 36-year-old epidemiologist, father of 3 children, separated from their mother, and living in Lilas, has not only gained notoriety with the crisis. He also found love.
He’s in love with a shrink!
This week, he formalizes in the columns of Current wife with Marie-Estelle Dupont, a psychologist he met on a TV set (probably that of Pascal Praud, on CNews, Time for the proswhere the two speakers have their habits).
Love at first sight dates back to the end of October 2020, says the lover, who even explains “It’s a relationship that started in times of crisis. But I didn’t expect to find love on a TV set at all, it was a time when I worked a lot, I was all alone in a small apartment in Les Lilas. That’s really what changed my life the most. That’s the good stuff that the pandemic has brought to me.”

With his companion, they are both very invested in the crisis. She is much better than him in terms of mental health. This is how Martin Blachier pays homage to her by explaining: Marie-Estelle Dupont “took this crisis very seriously, because her work is also very impacted, the Covid came to invade her consultations. It therefore has a more hands-on approach, and more philosophical too.“.
Water in the gas?
And to add that together they watch “a lot of data on mental health”, and they talk “a lot about the crisis”at the risk of “create great tension” when they don’t agree. Be careful not to create a TV show atmosphere at home.
