Louboutin shoes and the misery of the rich

Let’s talk about France-Élaine Duranceau’s Louboutin shoes. Those who saw sexism in the criticism may have forgotten the feats of arms of the Minister of Housing.

This minister has already been described as the Marie-Antoinette of the CAQ government for her very poor management of the housing crisis and her disconnection with the misery of tenants.

She showed her lack of empathy when she put the construction of houses for women victims of violence on hold, because it was too expensive!

She was also the one who told tenants to invest in real estate instead of complaining about the end of lease transfers.

The single mother who juggles two part-time jobs, who goes to food banks once a week, only has to buy a plex, the pinball and use the money to move out of his little home!

This mother will also be able to buy shoes costing over $1000 with the iconic red sole to clearly display her success…

Because we recognize Louboutins.

And the men?

This is not the case for many other pieces of clothing.

We don’t recognize a minister’s Cavalli, Armani or Gucci outfit.

If we could have easily determined that Eric Girard’s tie was worth thousands of dollars on budget day, he would have been picked off too!

Justin Trudeau, a man, was called trust fund baby (which could be translated as: little rich kid) for years.

He never worked, he never created wealth because he inherited, the conservatives repeated!

He was also criticized for his IWC watch which is worth several thousand dollars.

Jagmeet Singh too: for his Versace bag or his Rolexes.

We also talked about François Legault’s $3.2 million penthouse.

The real problem is that the public has little pity for the rich.

Not just taxes

And politicians know it. This is why the Trudeau government is increasing capital gains taxes.

A measure which will affect the richest, 0.13% of citizens, and which will bring in 18 billion dollars in five years.

For this measure to affect you, you must realize a capital gain of more than $250,000 by selling shares or a second home.

It is especially the richest CEOs who receive part of their remuneration as a purchase option or investment companies who will be affected!

No one is really going to cry about their fate…

The problem with the measurement: the billions collected are not used to create wealth. This is the big problem in Canada.

Our productivity is stagnating, GDP per capita is decreasing, our standard of living is threatened here.

The Trudeau budget contains a lot of spending and little investment… The main investment is in the image of the Prime Minister and his political future, all with our money.
