From August 20, Louane will be the new coach of The Voice Kids, alongside Patrick Fiori, Julien Doré and Kendji Girac. Before starting her first season on the show, the 25-year-old singer took part in production questions, broadcast on the program’s Twitter account.
She particularly remembered her collaboration with rock legend: Johnny Hallyday. But his meeting with the interpreter of Envy did not really go as planned. “It’s not the best story of my life” she launched. If she absolutely does not regret having been able to sing a duet with the star of French song, Esme’s mother then clarified that she was not very proud of her performance.
Too confident?
“I arrived thinking that I was going to have nothing to do with it and that it was going to be very simple” she confessed. Fortunately, she was able to count on the singer’s support to put her at ease, after she lost “all her means” on stage. “He was adorable and he redid the song, I think, 7 or 8 times, for me” said the companion of Florian Rossi.
And definitely, she is not the only one to “to regret” his duet with the star. Kendji Girac also sang with Johnny Hallyday, except that the latter “mistaken microphone“says the interpreter of Andalusian. “He took mine and I took his” he added. A funny scene, which means that they sang into a microphone that was not adjusted to their size.
Louane also took advantage of this interview to make confidences much less light, in this case on the death of his parents. “I was very well surrounded, and I locked myself into work a lot, because I needed to do something else. Being able to concentrate on the album, go on tour quickly, that really saved me…It delayed things in terms of grieving, I think I broke out a bit later, but in the moment it gave me strength, held me in place, kept me going ” she confided, she who never ceases to impress, gradually imposing herself among the biggest names in current French music.
