Before being the French star Louane Emera, the singer and actress was called Anne and lived quietly in Hénin-Beaumont in Pas-de-Calais, with four sisters and a brother from a blended family, with her parents, insurance brokers. She was also looked after by a nanny, Monique, who passed on her passion for music. Then will come success, first with The Voicethen with The Aries Family. But his impressive professional rise was made with immense pain: that of losing his dad and his mom a few months apart. In promotion for the series Visions on TF1, she is returned to his mourning and for TV 7 Daysshe reveals in particular behavior towards her that shocked her.
In February 2013, at age 16, Louane lost her father, Jean-Pierre, before the broadcast of the show The Voice in which she participated. Then, the following year, his mother, Isabelle, died of cancer. How do you grow up with such dramas when you are a teenager? For TV 7 Daysthe 25-year-old artist agrees to come back to this painful question, admitting to talking about it more easily: “I have taken a step. A few years ago, I didn’t want to talk about it, because it was hyperviolent at times. Journalists asked me: ‘How did you feel about losing your parents?’ I was totally hallucinated! Of course it’s painful to lose your parents! Today, I learned to live with it, I grew up with it.“
With an open heart, Louane Emera feels at peace but, if time helps to take a step back, there is no question of forgetting: “I’m not sad every day, because I’m a positive person and I don’t let myself down. But it’s not easy, I still take slaps. A date, a moment, a scent… I wrote a new song about it. In the text, I say that one of the most difficult things is to smell on someone else the perfume of the person who is no longer there. My mother had a perfume that no one knew. And during a trip to New York, I found it in a shop, by chance. I bought it, it’s at home and my daughter played with it this morning, putting it on. But there, it was very sweet as a moment.“
A moving proof of courage and a moving tribute: despite his young age, the interpreter of Day 1 never ceases to impress. Nourished by the values transmitted by her parents and accompanied by a very present and solid entourage like her lover, the musician Florian Rossi, she leads her life as an artist but also as a young mother. She indeed gave birth in March 2020 to her first child, Esme.
