She concluded her season as she began it. Faster on his skis and uncompromising in shooting, Lou Jeanmonnot won the last race of the season, the mass start of Canmore (Canada), Sunday March 17, ahead of the German Janina Hettich-Walz and another Frenchwoman, Gilonne Guigonnat.

The Frenchwoman concludes the year with a fourth World Cup victory, all obtained this season, to take second place in the general ranking behind the Italian Lisa Vittozzi. Too far away to hope for the big globe (1091 points for Vittozzi, 1068 for Jeanmonnot), the 25-year-old from Jura consoles herself by winning the small globe of the specialty, under the nose of Julia Simon, leader until Sunday morning and finish 7th.

Simon and Braisaz-Bouchet too fair

The consecration of an idyllic season for the Franc-Comtoise, which revealed itself for its fourth year. In this last race, she managed to overtake Ingrid Tandrevold in the general classification, 8th of the day. His only shooting error, during the fourth and final series, was not detrimental. Especially since, at the same time, her main competitor on Sunday, Janina Hettich-Walz, also made a mistake, giving Jeanmonnot a free hand. Faster on skis, the Tricolore quietly raced towards victory.

Third place of the day goes to Gilonne Guigonnat, for the very first podium of his career at 25 years old. Buoyed by a 20/20 shooting, the Frenchwoman finished in front of a renowned field, including Justine Braisaz-Bouchet (4th), Hanna Oeberg (6th) and Julia Simon. Long in the game, the quadruple 2024 world champion was undermined by a delicate second part of the race, marked by four shooting errors. Braisaz-Bouchet started from further away, but also regrets her three missed shots.
