Jane Birkin is a grandmother again. Her daughter, Lou Doillon, gave birth to her second child on July 26. A little boy named Laszlo Keats Miller Manel, fruit of his love with Stéphane Manel. It was through one of her drawings that the young mother announced the happy news on her Instagram account, receiving a shower of congratulations in the comments of her post.
Fans of Lou Doillon were only waiting for one thing: a photo of the little boy. Their wish has just been granted. In his Instagram story (see slideshow), Lou Doillon posted a snapshot of his newborn. The face is obviously not exposed but it is possible to see her very small body in the photo. A tiny baby next to its mother’s big hand.
Lou Doillon announced her pregnancy on Instagram last March by revealing her baby bump. A second child almost unexpected for the one who revealed the difficulties she had encountered to get pregnant again: “To all the mothers, the mothers of herself, the adoptive mothers, the mothers-in-law, the mothers of their friends, the mothers of their mothers, the mothers who have not become mothers, the mothers who have lost their child(ren). (…) I love you. (…) At 19, I became a mother, I had abortions [interruptions volontaires de grossesse, ndlr]IMGs [interruptions médicalisées de grossesse, ndlr]miscarriages.”
She had taken this opportunity to indicate that she had recently gone through a painful ordeal: “Last year on Mother’s Day, I was in bed again suffering from a miscarriage, and at 39 I am pregnant again. It’s an adventure to be a woman, to have a woman’s body. It’s a pain, it’s a joy, it’s mine. It’s my choice. My body, my choice.“The artist has finally fulfilled his dream of making his 20-year-old son Marlowe, born of his relationship with musician John Ulysses Mitchell, a big brother.
