Watch out for snack time. If you have recently purchased packets of LU brand Granola biscuits, two ranges are being recalled by manufacturer Mondelez on Friday 21 October. “The ppotential presence of a limited number of fine metallic particles” was detected, as reported by the Actu.fr site, confirming information from the government site Rappel Conso.

The products concerned are packets of milk chocolate Granola sold by two (2x 200 grams and expiry date until June 30, 2023) and dark chocolate Granola 195 grams (expiry date until May 31, 2023 ). More specifically, the batches concerned are the numbers OCE0123911 – OCE0123912 – OCE0123913 – OCE0123921 – OCE0123922 – OCE0123923 – OCE0123931 – OCE0123932 of the Granola milk chocolate range and the numbers OCE0123872 – OCE0123873 – OCE0123911 from the Granola dark chocolate range 195 grams. All these products have been on the market since October 3.

The recall procedure is valid until November 21 and, according to the manufacturer, consumers can get reimbursed by returning these products to the store.

No worries, however, for the brand’s other cookies. The manufacturer specifies that “Only the batches mentioned in the alert are concerned by the recall. The other batches of Granola dark chocolate and Granola milk chocolate products can be consumed normally”.
