LOSC formalizes the signing of its new coach, Paulo Fonseca

He arrived in Lille on Tuesday, seen at Lille Lesquin airport and took the time to meet the club’s teams on Wednesday. Paulo Fonseca, 49, signed this Wednesday evening with LOSC for a period of two years. He will be presented this Thursday, during a press conference scheduled at 5 p.m. at the Domaine de Luchin.

“His numerous sporting and collective successes in several championships (Portugal, Ukraine, Italy) associated with his ability to shape and develop young talents, today make him the ideal technician for the continuation and revitalization of the Lille project”, writes the club’s management in a press release.

Passed in particular by FC Porto, Chakhtar Donetsk and AS Roma, where he was a coach, the Portuguese arrived in Lille with Tiago Leal (assistant coach), Paulo Mourao (assistant coach in charge of physical preparation) and Antonio Ferreira (assistant coach in charge of goalkeepers). Already present at the club, Jorge Macielformer assistant to Christophe Galtier and Jocelyn Gourvennec, also makes up Paulo Fonseca’s staff, as assistant coach.
