Los Angeles Lakers | Bored by injury, LeBron James will not play against the Kings

(El Segundo) Bored in the left leg, LeBron James will not play when the Los Angeles Lakers host the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

Posted at 5:50 p.m.

He pulled a muscle in the final quarter Thursday, during a 114-101 loss by the Lakers to the Clippers.

Darvin Ham’s group then lost a fourth game in a row.

An MRI test did not reveal a groin tear, but James’ condition will be assessed on a daily basis.

The second-highest scorer in NBA history, James is 1,077 points away from taking first place, ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

After the game against the Kings, the Lakers will host the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

Their next game is Nov. 18 in Los Angeles against the Detroit Pistons.

James leads his team with 24.9 points per game, on average.

He also had 8.8 rebounds and 6.9 assists per game in his 20e campaign in the NBA.

The Lakers are 0-5 on the road and 2-9 overall, including an overtime win.
