Los Angeles Kings | Michael Anderson agrees to 8-year contract extension

(LA) Defenseman Michael Anderson agreed to an eight-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday.

This pact, which will expire at the end of the 2030-2031 season, will bring him an annual average of 4.125 million US dollars.

Anderson has career highs in 55 games with the Kings this season in assists (11), points (13) and plus-10. Additionally, he posted an average playing time per game of 21:49.

“Mikey has become not only a reliable defensive-minded defenseman, but also an influential player in the locker room who will continue to grow within our core players,” said Kings vice president and general manager Rob Blake.

Anderson was the Kings’ fourth-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He has six goals and 27 assists in 172 career games on the Bettman League, all with the Kings.
