Los Angeles Dodgers | Brandon Gomes becomes the new general manager

(LA) The Los Angeles Dodgers have promoted ex-Major pitcher Brandon Gomes to general manager, filling a position left vacant since 2018 in their org chart.

Gomes had served as an assistant general manager since 2019. The Dodgers’ last general manager was Farhan Zaidi, who left in November 2018 to join the San Francisco Giants.

In his new role, Gomes will continue to work closely with President of Baseball Operations Andrew Friedman.

Gomes, 37, joined the Dodgers in 2016 as the pitching performance coordinator. He was promoted to director of player development in 2017.
