Leclaire was arrested on July 6, following an investigation that began last January by the Sexual Crimes Team of the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Department. (SPAL). The accused remains detained for the moment, awaiting his release investigation at the courthouse.

In a press release published Monday, the police force indicates “that it is quite possible that Alexandre Leclaire has made other illegal acts of a sexual nature and that he has caused victims”.

His investigators would like to “get in touch with anyone who may have been a victim” of the man in his late thirties, who lives in Longueuil.

At this stage, the principal concerned is facing two counts, namely possession and distribution of child pornography, and having entered into an agreement with a third person for the purpose of committing a sexual crime.

“We remind parents of the importance of taking a close interest in your children’s activities on the Internet and exercising adequate parental control,” said the SPAL.

We invite any person or victim who has relevant information about Alexandre Leclaire to contact 450-463-7211. Confidential treatment of the information will be assured to you.
