The town hall announced the departure of its general manager Patrick Savard at 10:08 am Monday morning. Twenty minutes later, the hiring of his replacement, Alexandre Parizeau, was made public.

“I would like to underline the great professionalism shown by Mr. Savard since my election as mayor on November 7,” said Mayor Fournier via press release. “I have full confidence in Alexandre Parizeau to take the helm of Ville de Longueuil administratively. […] Like us, he is part of a dynamic succession that combines both renewal and experience. ”

Mr. Savard has been Managing Director of Longueuil since 2014, after having held the same positions in Brossard, Lorraine and Mont-Saint-Hilaire.

Mr. Parizeau is 36 years old. He was director of public works at Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
