Londoners and tourists flock to see the Queen’s coffin

In front of Buckingham Palace, locals and tourists arrived with bouquets in hand to greet the one they considered a member of their family. “We arrived last night. We spent the night in my fiancé’s car. It was a bit hard, but if I had to do it again, I would do it again!“, explains a Londoner.

The Queen’s remains arrived on Tuesday evening, September 13, 2022, in London. The hearse entered Buckingham Palace in front of a crowd that had come to pay their respects to Elizabeth II. The night was sad and cold for the English who camped near Westminster Castle where the Queen’s coffin will be displayed. For this last salute to the queen, some have put on their best costumes.
