Coming from a family of cinema, Lolita Chammah likes, like her mother, to rub shoulders with the boards from time to time. So here she is back at the Théâtre du Rond-Point de Paris, in the 8th arrondissement of our capital, in the play Smith and Wesson, written and directed by Alessandro Baricco. We had to wait a while before the public could finally discover the show… the dress rehearsal finally took place, on November 9, 2022, and tickets for the rest are already available! Be careful to hurry, the performances will stop on November 20th.
General of the play Smith and Wesson obviously attracted an impressive crowd of spectators. Lou Chauvain, Christophe Lambert, Laurent Caron, the twins Andrea and Géraldine Tshibuabua were warmly applauded at the end of the show. Lolita Chammah, also on the bill, was treated to a very special visit on this occasion. Director Caroline Huppert, her aunt – and inevitably Isabelle Huppert’s sister – was present in the room, as was Alessandro Baricco, author and director of the play, but also Régis Wargnier and Jean-Michel Ribes.

The room Smith and Wesson tells the story of Rachel Green, a 23-year-old journalist who meets two colorful characters named Tom and Jerry – no cat-and-mouse connection. After Novecento, with André Dussollier, Alessandro Baricco therefore embarks on a satyr of the American dream. Lolita Chammah, who has an arm’s length filmography, is also often present in the theater. Daughter of Isabelle Huppert and Ronald Chammah, she transmitted this mad love of the game since her young son, Gabriel Merz Chammah, recently started his career in film. The Intranquilles, by Joachim Lafosse, alongside Leïla Bekhti and Damien Bonnard. And it’s not over. At the beginning of October, the actress announced, in the columns of the magazine Le Figarothat she was expecting a second child… So many months filled with beautiful projects.
