(Ottawa) Premier Doug Ford wants to dislodge protesters who are paralyzing downtown Ottawa and blocking the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor, preventing trade between Canada and the United States.

Anyone who impedes the free movement of goods and people could be fined up to $100,000 and could face a maximum of one year in jail.

The announcement comes as protesters in Windsor began Friday morning to clear a lane on the bridge to allow traffic to resume.
