“It’s a store where we do lockers. Our customers bring clothes, handbags and high-end shoes that they no longer want, we take them in consignment, and if we sell them, we pay them part of the total and we keep the other, explains Emmanuelle The wise. Some give back to the Dress for Success charity, which helps women in difficulty. »

The boutique, located on a small street in Westmount, has been around for seven years. It was created by Danielle Leblanc, a former employee of Radio-Canada, and Charlotte and Gabrielle are the first names of her nieces. “I worked at Radio-Canada for 20 years, that’s where I met Danielle. We share a passion for fashion, and when I wanted to do something else, it was obvious, I took over the shop when she retired,” says Emmanuelle Lesage.

The clientele of the store is very varied. “There are 16-year-old girls and 80-year-old women. We don’t sell online, so we offer a very personalized service. We develop a real relationship with our clients, it’s really nice. We have ties with people in the neighborhood, our clients come by word of mouth. Since the pandemic, there has been a real craze for second-hand clothes. People have developed a conscience and want to invest in unique quality pieces. »
