The most recent collection, titled Love Language, is made up of several sets of lingerie trimmed with ruffles, ribbons and buckles. Purchases rocketed as soon as it was put online. During our visit, there were four people at work on their sewing machines, to fill the numerous orders. Here, nothing is done in advance.
It is with bikinis that Emilie, a graduate of LaSalle College in 2019, launched her brand. “It may be because one of my first jobs was in a La Senza store,” says the young woman from Newfoundland. I like small parts. I also like the freedom we allow ourselves when choosing a swimsuit, for example. I wore a lot of neon at the pool and at the beach, colors that I wouldn’t wear in everyday life. »
Quebec winter obliges, the designer added lingerie and then indoor clothing to her offer. There are also a few dresses, including the very popular Virtue, with its plunging back, and revealing little tops.
Already installed in her second studio, Emilie Pittman employs almost ten people in a huge space. There is a small shop at the front, which is mainly used for fittings. A few pieces can be found in the Montreal addresses Unicorn, Bettina Lou and Citizen Vintage, but the clientele buys above all on the site, from a very precise size table, which goes from XXS to 2XL, with + for cups .
“We have a good recurring clientele, which follows everything we do. About 250 packages are sent to the post office each month, for buyers from Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, but also from the United States and even sometimes from Japan and Australia. Em sees far! And May, her? It’s his little dog, who stands guard in his native Newfoundland.

Ecological
Wedding dresses by Noémiah
1/3
The Noémiah brand is launching Dear love, a new collection of wedding dresses and accessories. Cut exclusively in silk (organza, tulle, crepe), a natural fiber, it is designed with an ecological conscience, since neither plastic buttons nor zippers have been used, but rather low-impact, biodegradable resources. From design to manufacturing, everything has been thought out to reduce the ecological footprint. Why not wear your wedding dress differently once the big day is over? Noémiah has also thought of how to give it a second life by working in collaboration with the dyer artist Dahlia Milon, who offers to dye your wedding dress so that you can wear it on other occasions.
