This procedure, on the other hand, has very little chance of being initiated by the elected members of the Duma. Following this request, the elected officials of Saint Petersburg were summoned by the police. Dmitry palyuga was fined 47,000 rubles, or about 800 euros. This gesture of defiance is a reminder that, despite fierce repression against dissenting voices, there remains a form of opposition to Vladimir Putin in Russia.
