The success maker — truth hurts, Juice, Cuz I Love You — promoted his new album on Friday at a concert for the show TODAY from NBC, at the foot of the chain’s studios at Rockefeller Center in Manhattan.
“I’m very proud of this album,” she said. “It took three years to do it. It’s literally a classic, flawless. Best thing I’ve ever done,” she added.
The release of the album caps off an already successful week for the 34-year-old singer, whose reality show Watch Out for the Big Grrrlson Amazon Prime Video, was nominated Tuesday for the Emmy Awards, the awards of American television, in particular in the category of the best competition program.
The series, where Lizzo plays the leading roles, takes up the principles of reality TV by staging a competition to become a dancer on her tour. The game is reserved for overweight candidates, like Lizzo, with a message of self-acceptance, its trademark.

Born Melissa Viviane Jefferson in Detroit, raised in Houston, Lizzo began her career in 2013, but didn’t find mainstream success until after her third album. Cuz I Love Youreleased in 2019, which earned him eight nominations and three Grammy wins.
“It takes 10 years to become an overnight success,” she said on Friday.
Lizzo is set to kick off a North American tour in September, with dates including Madison Square Garden in New York and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.
