At CH, Martin St-Louis trusts Samuel Montembeault for a second game in a row. He blocked 28 shots in a 3-2 win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. This is a rare duel between two goalkeepers from Quebec.
Since the start of his career, Fleury has a record of 11-6-3 (2 shutouts) at the Bell Center.
On offense, in the absence of Kirby Dach, Alex Newhook finds himself at the center of the second line alongside Juraj Slafkovsky and Josh Anderson. Rafael Harvey-Pinard, meanwhile, replaces Anderson on the right flank of the first line with Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield.
With the injury to Dach, Michael Pezzetta has the opportunity to play a first match this season. The sturdy forward plays left wing on the fourth line with Jake Evans and Jesse Ylönen.
For their part, the Wild are playing this game with only 17 skaters. Injured against the Maple Leafs on Saturday in Toronto, winger Matt Boldy will be absent for several weeks. On the blue line, defender Alex Goligoski suffered an injury during his team’s training on Monday in Montreal. Dean Evason must therefore deal with one less player, relying on eleven attackers and six defenders.
