Laurent Karilaaddiction psychiatrist at the Paul Brousse hospital in Villejuif (Val-de-Marne), co-president of the scientific committee of the SOS Addictions association and Marie Jauffret Roustide, sociologist at Inserm are in the Talk to discuss it. A “democratization” of cocaine?
In France, debates around drugs often revolve around the legalization of cannabis. However, in 20 years, the proportion of 18-64 year olds who have experimented with cocaine has quadrupled. In recent decades, cocaine seems to have gradually “democratized.
Indeed, the profiles of cocaine users are increasingly varied. How to explain that a drug, long considered as a drug reserved for the privileged classes, seems to become commonplace? Also, how do the public authorities respond to this “democratization”?
Join us from 6 p.m. Monday to Friday on the franceinfo Twitch channel to participate in Manon Mella’s Talk. An hour of exchange, clarification, debate around topical and social issues.
