Monday, February 6, at the Turkish-Syrian border, more than 300 earthquakes followed one another according to data from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC). These were notably caused by two earthquakes at different depths. The death toll has risen since Thursday, February 9, to more than 21,000 dead. Numerous appeals for donations launched

The south-east of Turkey and the north of Syria were affected on Monday February 6 by very violent earthquakes killing more than 21,000 people in the two countries. NGOs and international first aid associations are already on site and calls for donations are increasing.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies have launched an appeal for donations of 70 million euros. The Médecins sans frontières teams, notably mobilized in Syria, are also calling for solidarity on the site.
