Stade Toulousain is expected by the reigning French champion this Sunday evening. Montpellier -Toulouse is the closing poster for this 5th day of Top 14. A very good rugby match in perspective since the two teams have dominated the championship since the start of the season: they each have 14 points on the clock.
From the 3rd minute of play, Dimitri Delibes scored the first try of the match, a try converted by Melvyn Jaminet. But Montpellier very quickly picked up the score, in the 7th, with a try from Anthony Bouthier.
The score returns to the Toulouse advantage with a phenomenal penalty from Melvyn Jaminet: 10 to 7. Before the MHR plant their second try, converted by Louis Carbonel.
In the second half, it was the hunt for penalties but it was Toulouse who kept the advantage, with two missed penalties from Montpellier striker Louis Carbonel. Black point: Emmanuel Meafou receives a red card, yet another for Stade Toulousain.
