LIVE – Selfies, lunch with the truckers… Marine Le Pen on conquered ground in Roye

A visit to conquered land, without risk taking. This is what Marine Le Pen came to do in Roye this Thursday, the day after the debate between the two rounds; the National Rally candidate won 42% of the vote in the first round in this town east of the Somme, far ahead of Emmanuel Macron, who won 21% of the vote.

Marine Le Pen arrived around 1 p.m. this Thursday in Roye, an hour and a half behind the time originally scheduled. On the spot, she was welcomed by about thirty truckers: they were the ones who had requested this exchange with the candidate of the RN, a month after the blockades they had organized in the Roye sector to protest in particular against the rise in fuel prices. Marine Le Pen is currently having lunch with these transporters in a roadside restaurant in Roye.

The RN candidate also lent herself to the game of selfies, with onlookers won over to her cause – most of the people interviewed by the journalist from France Bleu Picardie on the spot say they vote for Marine Le Pen in the second round.
