“House of horror, the word is too weak” it is with these words that Bryan, a 21-year-old young man described the home in which he has lived for years with his nine brothers and sisters in Noyelles-sous- Lens, in Pas-de-Calais. It’s been a few days since a sordid case of abuse has shaken the north of France.
After years of ordeal, this courageous young man decided to alert social services and testify in the press to denounce his daily life. He reports mistreatment, beatings, abuse and multiple violence against him and his brothers and sisters, horrors carried out by the parents themselves for years. Bryan describes a daily life made up of “bats, whips, safety shoes, squeegees, brooms, scooter helmets… This Monday, September 12, 2022, Bryan was on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste” to testify once again to his ordeal. The opportunity for the young man to make revelations about his father who started the violence and his mother, who was also very violent, hit her husband. Bryan also explains that he asked care of her siblings who have been placed in foster families.
The young man was accompanied by his aunt, his mother’s sister, who expressed her anger. : “When I arrived I saw the two little ones tied up. I was told that they were just watching a cartoon… Then I was told that the little ones weren’t sleeping in their beds, that they were sleeping tied up in their excrement and there my blood boiled right away” she confided very annoyed and shocked.
