CH is aiming for a second consecutive victory, after having signed a 3-2 overtime win against the Washington Capitals last Saturdaycourtesy of Cole Caufield.

The Sabers are in eighth and last place in their section with a 2-3 record. However, they won their last game, 3-1, against the New York Islanders.

It was goalie Eric Comrie who was in front of the net for this victory and the Sabers did not want to change a winning formula. Quebecer Devon Levi is therefore not facing his childhood team.

Cayden Primeau, Kaiden Guhle (injured, assessed daily) and Christian Dvorak did not accompany the Canadiens for the trip to Buffalo.

In net, Jake Allen gets a second consecutive start for the Canadiens.
