The film “Little Jesus”, in theaters this Wednesday, July 12, features a father who has just separated and who goes through the galleys. He is convinced that his 10-year-old son, Loulou, is endowed with divine powers, and that he can even perform miracles.

It is the story of a miracle. After a walk in the forest, Loulou, 10, brings a dog back to life. Jean, his father, convinces himself that his son is the new messiah. A crazy scenario, but a film that makes you think, according to Gérard Darmon. The actor plays the nonconformist grandfather. “Beyond this laughter which is continuous in the film, when we go a little in depth, we are taken by other subjects. Human relationships, father-son relationships, couples who have separated”evokes the actor.

lesson of hope

The backdrop of the film baby jesus, is the story of a renewed relationship between a father and his son. Family ties where the wisest are perhaps the children. “It also helps us see life in a simpler way. And maybe that’s the way it should be seen”, says Bruno Sanchez, who plays Rémy. For this film, Quebecer Antoine Bertrand, who plays Jean, wanted to keep his accent to put it at the service of comedy. With this comedy, director Julien Rigoulot delivers a lesson in hope and open-mindedness.
