Listeria bacteria: reminder of “Gorgonzola Dolce”

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is recalling Igor brand “Gorgonzola Dolce” from the marketplace due to possible Listeria contamination.

Recalled products should not be consumed, used, sold, served or distributed, the CFIA said in a statement.
Foods contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria do not necessarily have any visible spoilage or suspicious smell, but can still make you sick.
The recalled product was sold in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec, and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
The product concerned is “Gorgonzola Dolce”, of the Igor brand and sold by the company Jan K. Overweel Limited. The recall involves products with lot numbers 2774015 and 2775033.
