“Liquid Velvet” by Jules Jaconelli, an album that looks like him from A to Z

Jules Jaconelli has grew up in a family of artists which allowed him very early to access culture in the broad sense but also to familiarize himself with different universes. Very quickly, he understood that he too would do his job. It’s up to him to make his place, his name, not so easy when his father’s name is Pierre Jaconelli and the latter worked for Johnny Halyday or Benjamin Biolay.

But Jules believes in it and left at 18 for London play in bands before joining Berklee College of Music for a year in Boston, USA, “the best school for contemporary music”.

Back in France, he plays with guitarist-vocalist Jim Bauer, Axel’s son, who introduces him to the singer Slimane. All 3 will write a title for Florent Pagny.

Since the release of her singles “Velours Liquide”, “Ton oreille” and “Quand Même” (in duet with the young singer and actress Déborah Leclercq), things are coming together happily for Jules. He notably composes the hits of Zaz, Jeremy Frerot or Yannick Noah among others and artists he venerates like Benjamin Biolay, Alain Chamfort or Gaëtan Roussel choose him for their First Parties.
