Line Renaud applauded by Dany Boon and Claude Chirac: an evening rich in emotions in Angoulême!

She had come as a friend, she left with a standing ovation! This Tuesday, August 23, on the occasion of the opening of the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival, Line Renaud had made the trip for the preview of her new film, A great racein which she shares the poster with her accomplice Dany Boon, of whom she is very close and who was also present at her side.

A film in which she very accurately embodies Madeleine Keller, a 92-year-old woman about to enter an EHPAD. It is Charles, interpreted by the actor ch’ti, who is responsible for taking the old woman to her new home. Meanwhile, Madeleine is determined to take advantage of this last trip to revisit the places in the capital that have counted in her life.

Touching, the feature film was very popular and earned Line Renaud long minutes of applause. The actress, very moved, insisted on addressing the public, knowing that at 94, she will no longer be in many films of this genre. “I’m getting close to the moment…. I have to think about it, I had a beautiful life, an extraordinary life and it will never be forgotten. Even when I’m gone“, she said.

With a trembling voice, the agent of stars Dominique Besnehard also wanted to pay tribute to the president of Sidaction: “I’m really moved that Line is here. She was there 15 years ago. She didn’t really know what she was going to do but she said, ‘I’m coming’ and she came. Thanks Line!“. In the room, in addition to Dany Boon, other of her friends had made the trip such as Muriel Robin and Claude Chirac, whom she considers to be her daughters at heart.

They will necessarily be present on September 2 at the Elysée for the ceremony during which Line Renaud will be decorated and will receive the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor by President Macron.

The two women surrounded her all evening, attending the screening with her. The first, who came without his wife Anne Le Nen, is even particularly close to the actress: for several months, they have been living together! Bertrand Delanoë, the former mayor of Paris, was also present to greet this great lady of cinema and took the opportunity to warmly greet the daughter of Jacques Chirac … one of his predecessors in the capital.

Among the other personalities present, there was Thierry Frémaux, the general delegate of the Cannes Film Festival, as well as the patriarch of the Pathé group, Jérôme Seydoux, also grandfather of the actress Léa Seydoux.
