Love can sometimes hurt. In any case, this is what Line Papin affirms in her latest book After Love, published by Stock editions on April 26, 2023. Without naming her ex-companion Marc Lavoine, the pretty brunette evokes, without taboo, their terrible separation.“Once I loved a man but he ate me, he destroyed me, he made me the object of his desire. The object of his desire, yes, I was no longer a being , simply an object”, she writes in the pages of her book.
And to continue: “He threw me, hit my soul, to the point that I had a thousand scars on my body. Never, never again will I let a man damage me like this”. For Line Papin, the separation is as brutal as a slap. “I had too much pain in the past. My body is marked by scars, my flesh says the pain. Nothing is erased, neither the stigmata on my skin nor the scratches in my memory. I had pain, and this evil is not forgotten”. However, the novelist describes her last relationship as a passionate love story. “[…] But he loved me like no one knows how to love, That’s no excuse, Love is no excuse, Love is beyond: Something to be worthy of.”
