Lindsay, 13, killed herself on May 12 after being bullied at college for months. “I tried everything, I did everything. We weren’t helped, we were let go, completely. No support before, during or after“, laments Betty Gervois, the mother of Lindsay. The young girl and her parents had alerted on numerous occasions, made reports to the establishment, filed a complaint and wrote to President Macron, in vain.
Opening of an administrative investigation
In February, Lindsay wrote a letter, as a final plea for help. Today, the parents file four complaints, against the director of the establishment, the Academy of Lille (North)the police initially in charge of the investigation, Facebook and Instagram. On the Internet, the insults persist after the death of Lindsay, against her best friend, in particular. THURSDAY June 1st in the evening, the Minister of National Education recognizes flaws. The Minister asked the General Inspectorate of Education to open an administrative investigation. Last week, four minors and the mother of a student were indicted.
