Lindsay, a 13-year-old schoolgirl, ended her life on May 12, at her home in Nord-Pas-de-Calais. The teenager had been the victim of harassment within her college for months. Four minors were charged.

Two weeks after his suicide, tributes to Lindsay, 13, are displayed all over the gates of his college. Friday, May 26 in the afternoon, some of his comrades gathered to sing his favorite song. Lindsay’s death came as a shock as many knew the 4th grader had been bullied since September. “She received insults, death threats”testifies a schoolgirl.

Four college students charged

Lindsay was a good student, she had friends. She had confided in her ordeal to her relatives. However, this did not prevent the tragedy. The family believes that the college and the rectorate underestimated the seriousness of the situation. Because the harassment continued on social networks, night and day, out of reach of supervisors or teachers. For the rectorate, within the college, everything had been done to support the young girl. Four college students are indicted for school harassment that led to suicide. The rectorate will open an administrative investigation.
