Limoges CSP is the 5th budget of the French Elite championship this season with €6,520,000. The National Basketball League published this Wednesday the budgets and the provisional wages of the clubs for the 2022-2023 season. According to her, the median budget which amounts to 5,766,000 euros is the highest ever recorded in the first division, exceeding the last record median budget which dated from the 2019-2020 season, that is to say before the Covid crisis.
Monaco, Asvel and the Metropolitans 92 on the podium
Unsurprisingly, the biggest budget (by far) is that of theAS Monaco with 20,700,000 euros. Behind come Asvel (15,762,000 euros) and the Metropolitans 92 (7,304,000 euros). Conversely, the Palois of Elan Béarnais, relegated for financial reasons then drafted in extremis this summer, go from 3rd to 12th budget.
For Limoges, the budget is up 277,000 euros compared to last year, which is not unrelated to the arrival of the new partner, Human Immobilier, presented last week.
Payroll down slightly
The share of the wage bill represents 28% of this budget for Limoges. With €1,795,000, it is a little less than last year (1,820,000 euros). But nothing to do there again with the Roca Team which devotes more than half of its budget to it (52%), very far ahead of Asvel and once again the Metropolitans 92.
