like a return to the fundamentals of the White Stripes

American musician Jack White (DAVID JAMES SWANSON)

Jack White is without a doubt one of the rock figures of the last twenty years… When he releases a new project with almost complete discretion, we necessarily listen. And what we hear may seem surprising, as the singer and guitarist seemed to lose himself in sound experiments in recent years, gradually relegating his status as guitar hero. This new album, No Namewill be a landmark.

Recorded in Nashiville, the city where he set up studios and stores for his prestigious label Third Man Records, the album is teeming with furious, saturated guitar riffs, totally in the spirit of what he had built with the White Stripes.

As if to stick to this unexpected return to garage rock, Jack White has not announced a big tour, but rather concerts in small clubs in the United States, in which the rock energy of this album will take its full measure. Same thing for the vinyls, pressed in small numbers since the release seems to have surprised everyone. But for once, the surprise is beautiful…
