Two weeks ago, there was the success (3-0) against Valenciennes which made everyone smile and which allowed Amiens to take, for the first time, three points from the Unicorn. A new success is expected at home this Saturday against Caen. But in the meantime, the momentum launched against the northerners has run out of steam in Corsica.
Last Saturday, in Bastia, Amiens displayed its fragility and its inability to be really dangerous (0-0) in a poorly classified duel. “We would have preferred to start again with four points ahead of Bastia but that’s how it is, we are always ahead. If we beat Caen, we will have had a good series of three matches”, analyzed Philippe Hinschberger, the coach of the ASC, after the draw in Furiani. The Normans, currently twelfth in the standings, have only three points more than Amiens who could therefore come back to their level in case of success.
The kick-off for Amiens-Caen will be whistled at 7 p.m. The meeting is to be experienced in full on France Bleu Picardie from 6:45 p.m.
