Ligue 2 – Girondins de Bordeaux: the new song of the Ultramarines

This Thursday, we’re warming up our vocal cords in 100% Girondins
at D-2 from Bordeaux-Metz. It’s time to discover the new song of the Ultramarines.
A song that the largest group of Bordeaux supporters has been singing for a few weeks in the Virage Sud during matches. A song of course in French but coming from Italy as one of the leaders of the Ultramarines explains: “It’s a familiar tune there because it’s the firefighters’ song that is covered by a lot of Ultras groups and we’ve been thinking about doing this tune for a long time.”

He pursues : “And it’s true that with the fires this summer, the firefighters and all these subjects, it’s a song that we listened to again and that we ended up resuming. In addition, we also internally , we needed a new song. A song where people took over the words”. In the end, it is composed of four verses of two sentences and a chorus for a total duration of about thirty seconds:

In this song of the Ultramarines, there are several references. The first is at the René Galice stadium, the name that all true Bordeaux supporters give to Matmut Atlantique. The second is in the colors of the club: “I only have two colors that I carry in my heart, Navy and White are the keys to happiness”. The third and last is at the Virage Sud where all the club’s most fervent supporters have come to sing at every match for decades with the Ultramarines.
