Ligue 2 – Girondins de Bordeaux: An internship in Portugal and three friendly matches during the World Cup

We know a little more about the program of Girondins of Bordeaux
during the World Cup in Qatar
(20 November – 18 December). According to information from France Bleu Gironde, the Marines and Whites will go on vacation for two weeks the day after the 8th round of the Coupe de France against Trélissac
before returning to the Château du Haillan on Wednesday December 7 for the resumption. They will then experience a sort of second preparation of three weeks after that of the off-season, with the focus on the resumption of the Ligue 2 championship, on December 26, in Le Havre.

A week in the south of Portugal

To prepare his squad as well as possible, David Guion has planned with his sporting director, Admar Lopes, a one-week stadium in Portugal, from December 11 to 18. A course that will take place in the very south, in the Algarve, in the small village of Moncarapacho, not far from Faro. As in Vichy this summer, the objective will be to work well physically in good weather conditions since at this time of year, it is often around ten degrees in this part of Portugal.

A last friendly match against Niort on December 20

During this internship, the Girondins de Bordeaux should play two friendly matches. The club is currently in talks with three top division clubs playing in the Netherlands, Portugal and France (it will not be FC Nantes also in training in Portugal a week earlier). Finally, a third friendly match is scheduled before the resumption. It should take place on Tuesday December 20 against Niort (Ligue 2). For the moment, the place of the meeting has not been decided by the two clubs.
