A big piece for Amiens in Ligue 2! On behalf of the 23rd day of the championship, the ASC, 13th in the standings, travels to Sochaux, one of the very serious contenders for the climb this Saturday (7 p.m.). An important test for Philippe Hinschberger’s team which has only five successes in 22 games and which has still not beaten any leaders.
Do everything to beat a big
“I think it’s time,” says Eddy Gnahore. “We are all aware that we did great things, especially in November and December, but that against the biggest we did not know how to seize our opportunity. If we want to confirm the qualities we have in this group, we know that it has to go through that, we have to do everything to beat a big one,” said the midfielder.
His trainer of course shares the same ambition. But the speech of Philippe Hinschberger however, is a bit more cautious. “We need victories, some in the second half of the season to warm up and be calm. We are not here to be proud of wanting to beat the big guys in the championship. It is even better that we beat the teams of our own championship which is that of the last said. Now, if we can take points in Sochaux we will not deprive ourselves of it. But the adversary has the same reasoning.”
Sochaux diminished
An opponent a little diminished by the absences of Joseph Lopyat the CAN with Senegal. Tony Mauricio and Yann Kitala are suspended. On the other hand Amiens will travel with an almost complete group. Jessy Benetabsent last Saturday in Nancy, is back just like Mamadou Fofana, income from the CAN where he did not play any match with Mali.
