The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired forward Tanner Jeannot from the Nashville Predators in exchange for defenseman Cal Foote and five draft picks.
Julien BriseBois, vice-president and general manager of the Lightning, made the announcement in a press release late Sunday evening.
To get their hands on Jeannot, the Lightning gave up their 2025 first-round pick (protected top-10), their 2024 second-round pick and three picks in the 2023 draft, the third-, fourth-, and fifth-round picks. .
A six-foot-two, 208-pound forward, Jeannot has appeared in 56 games with the Predators this season. He had five goals and 14 points, as well as 85 penalty minutes.
Prior to being traded, he led the Predators in hits given, with 213, and led all forwards on the team with 51 blocked shots.
A native of Estevan, Sask., Jeannot has 34 goals and 62 points, as well as 217 penalty minutes in 152 NHL games. The 25-year-old forward also appeared in nine playoff games in 2021 and 2022 and had two assists.
Unclaimed in the draft, Jeannot joined the Predators as a free agent.
