Filter barriers at toll booths, towing at stations, rallies… Liberal nurses took to the streets, Saturday February 17, to demand increases in the prices of their actions (reimbursed by social security) such as injections, dressings or taking medication. blood, which have not been revised upwards for 15 years. “There are treatments that we can no longer provide, because we are almost at a loss”explains to AFP the co-president of the Angry Liberal Nurses collective, Gaëlle Cannat, who practices in Bouches-du-Rhône. “Being paid 7.25 euros gross per hour, for the act and the travel, is no longer tenable”they add.
Another request: to recognize the “drudgery of the job”. The profession evokes days that start early in the morning, pathologies and pain linked to handling sometimes heavy patients. The demonstrators are asking in particular to retire at 60, or 62 at full rate.
These nurses also demand a simplification of the “paperwork” imposed on them and a significant increase in mileage allowances, today higher for physiotherapists or doctors, while “the price of fuel is the same for everyone”they emphasize.
Twenty assembly points announced
According to the collective, instigator of a sustained mobilization since the end of January, “20 assembly points” are planned for this day of winter vacation crossover. Towing operations, sometimes accompanied by “filter dams with slowdowns” are planned, in particular on tolls in Toulouse and Nîmes (Gard), on a bridge in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), on the squares of the stations of Nantes, Saint-Nazaire or La Baule (Loire- Atlantique), or in the center of Lille, mostly at midday or early afternoon.
Other rallies took place this week. The demonstrators must meet in front of the primary health insurance funds of Grenoble, Annecy (Haute-Savoie), Chambéry (Savoie) or Bordeaux.
