LFI MEP Manon Aubry takes legal action over suspicion of “complicity in tax fraud” involving Gérald Darmanin and PSG

In an investigation published Thursday, Mediapart claims that the Minister of the Interior helped the Parisian club not to pay millions of euros in taxes at the time of Neymar’s transfer, in 2017, when he was Minister of Public Accounts.

A potential legal outcome. In a press release published on “According to Mediapart, Gérald Darmanin transformed himself into tax advisor to PSG to allow them to avoid paying tens of millions of euros in taxes normally due. Mediapart claimed Thursday that Gérald Darmanin, current Minister of the Interior, would have intervened at the time of Neymar’s transfer to PSG, in 2017, when he was Minister of Public Accounts, so that the Parisian club would not pay millions of euros of taxes on this transaction, “against the jurisprudence of the administration”. At the time, the transfer of the Brazilian player from FC Barcelona had cost PSG 222 million euros, either the tthe most expensive transfer in the history of football.
