LFI deputy Louis Boyard will request “the opening of an investigation” into the media owned by Vincent Bolloré after his altercation with Cyril Hanouna

The deputy for insubordinate France (LFI) Louis Boyard announced in a press release on Friday November 11 that he intended to ask “the opening of a commission of inquiry to measure Vincent Bolloré’s interference in the media he owns” in the National Assembly. The elected official and the presenter Cyril Hanouna had violently taken sides in the program “Touche pas à mon poste”, broadcast Thursday evening on C8. “The objective is in particular to audition Vincent Bolloré and Cyril Hanouna”continues the elected representative of Val-de-Marne.

Louis Boyard, former columnist for the show, had accused the “five richest people” from France from“to impoverish Africa”. He had notably cited the billionaire Vincent Bolloré, owner of the Canal+ group, to which C8 belongs. “Bolloré gave you money since you were a columnist here (and) you didn’t mind”replied Cyril Hanouna, criticizing the deputy for having wanted “make a splash”. The tone quickly rose. “I don’t give a damn that you’re elected”had notably launched the presenter, before uttering insulting remarks.

The debate focused on France’s reception of the ship ocean vikingarrived in Toulon (Var), Friday. “The objective was to deconstruct the argument consisting in saying that we cannot accommodate all the misery of the world in France”, justifies the LFI deputy in his press release. Louis Boyard qualifies the words of Cyril Hanouna “attempted to intimidate” and of “Clear manifestation of the censorship methods being used to muzzle anyone attacking this billionaire’s empire”.

The president of the group of France insubordinate to the National Assembly, Mahtilde Panot, had also announced in the wake of her intention to seize Arcom about the sequence. “What happened tonight on Touche pas à mon poste is very serious”, had estimated the member for Val-de-Marne.
