Levis | Arrest of a 56-year-old man suspected of numerous frauds

(Lévis) The Lévis police are asking for the public’s help to verify whether a man suspected of having committed fraud with a total value greater than $100,000 could have caused other victims.

On December 21, Éric Desjardins, aged 56, was arrested by agents of the Lévis City Police Service (SPVL) for fraud of more than $5,000. He appeared in court the next day, at the Quebec courthouse.

The police believe that Mr. Desjardins made several victims by using his influence, lies and deception to extract large sums of money from elderly and vulnerable people.

The SPVL invites any person who may have been a victim or witness of reprehensible acts committed by Éric Desjardins to contact its investigators. The information may be transmitted anonymously and confidentially, according to police.
